PTA
The PTA is an association of parents/carers and staff that aims to further the education of the pupils through fundraising and hosting events and activities. All parents and carers are automatically members of the PTA, and everyone is welcome at our meetings and events.
The PTA is a registered charity #1122857 and currently has a Committee of six parents who oversee the running of the association, but meetings can be attended by anyone.
We meet roughly every 6-8 weeks on either Wednesday or Thursday evenings in the school hall. Meetings are informal and a great way to get to know parents outside your own year group while doing something worthwhile for the school.
Our AGM is held in November each year, when a new Committee will be elected.
The PTA Committee 2023/24
Chair: Vicky Webb
Secretary: Kvina Smith
Treasurer: Claire Rickard
Trustees: Carol Bisley, Amy Siu, Yik-Yan Chan, Rebecca Cooper
We organise a number of events aimed at children, parents, families and the local community. In the past this has included a summer and Christmas fair, discos and magic shows for the pupils, adult comedy nights, and an annual family quiz night.
While fundraising is obviously a key objective, we are also clear that our events exist to bring the school community together, to enable us to get to know each other better and to add to the children and their families amazing lasting memories of their time at Perry Hall.
If you have any questions about the PTA, fundraising ideas or want to get involved please look out for us at the school gates, or drop us an email at
As well as taking part in our events, you can also donate directly to the PTA through

One of our many events throughout the year is our hotly anticipated Peckish Food and Gardening Fair held every Spring. Here's some highlights from our 2022 fair:
PTA Communications
PTA Useful Information
We run a number of one-off and ongoing activities throughout the year. Information about these is provided below. If you have further questions or ideas for fundraising activities, please drop us an email at ptaperryhall@gmail.com
Communication
We have a number of ways in which we communicate with parents about PTA activities.
We ask for two parents in each class in the school to act as class reps. They will usually have a WhatsApp group for parents to help stay on top of upcoming activities and to provide a place for parents to ask questions.
We have a Facebook page specifically for the PTA: https://www.facebook.com/PerryHallPTA
You will also receive information from the PTA via the school either in book bags or through the ParentMail app.
We also have a dedicated Perry Hall parents group on Facebook called Parents Rule! so join us there to stay connected to the community. Please note this is set up and run by Parents not the PTA.
Donations and Payments
Many of our events involve cash payments or will provide a link to our online payment site: https://www.pta-events.co.uk/perry-hall
You can also donate directly to the PTA through www.justgiving.com/perryhallschool-pta
Reuseable Uniform, football boots and costumes
Re-usable Uniform
Sarah Pearmain and Ciara Parmar run our re-usable uniform scheme. If you have unwanted items of uniform (including shoes, coats, PE kits and all other uniform items) please contact them to donate them to the PTA. Equally if you would like to buy uniform from them, let them know what you need and they will see if they have it in stock. Items are usually between 50p and £2. Contact them via the PTA email address ptaperryhall@gmail.com
Re-usable Football Boots
Tracy Wheeler runs a re-usable football boots scheme. If you have boots to donate or need to buy some, contact her on Facebook messenger (Tracy Wheeler) or the PTA email address ptaperryhall@gmail.com
Re-usable Costumes
Anne-Marie Sangster runs a re-usable uniform scheme. If you have children’s fancy dress costumes (any age) that you want to donate or you are looking to buy something, visit the Perry Hall Fancy Dress Facebook group or contact Anne-Marie on Facebook messenger (Anne-Marie Sangster) or the PTA email address ptaperryhall@gmail.com
Events
We are always looking for volunteers to help run our events, so contact the PTA if you want to get involved!
Christmas Fair
We usually run this on the first weekend of December and it involves games, Santa’s grotto, refreshments, a secret Santa room, bottle and chocolate tombolas and a raffle. We usually also run a Christmas shopping night in November and a wreath making workshop just before the fair.
Peckish Food & Gardening Fair
This usually runs in May, with a range of stalls, cookery demonstrations and a plant sale.
Summer Fair
We usually run this on the first weekend in July and involves lots of great games, bouncy castles, etc
Bake Sales
We run several bake sales every year, providing a range of cakes and biscuits prepared by parents. If you would like to help bake goodies for these sales, we’d recommend joining the Perry Hall Bakers & General Providers of Yumminess! Facebook group.
Other events throughout the year
We usually also run discos and film nights for the children, family quiz nights and race nights
Historical Orpington Detective's Trail
The Perry Hall PTA has created a fun and engaging historical walking tour of Orpington aimed at children of all ages.
Intergalactic worms, the Wiggles, have invaded Orpington with their history extracting machine and jumbled up our local history. We need YOUR help to untangle the historical havoc. Take on the challenge of our Historic Orpingotn trail, tack down the monuments, solve the clues and put our local heritage back in order!
